Pete Martin

Pete Martin is the Operations Manager at KC Painting & Coatings, bringing over three decades of experience in the industrial coatings industry. Throughout his 33-year career as a contractor, Pete has held leadership roles including business manager, area manager, service center manager, and operations officer/manager. His expertise spans project management, system specification, failure analysis, business development, and project estimating.

Pete thrives on solving complex challenges, whether it’s determining the right specifications during estimating or finding creative solutions during project execution. His belief that every project is unique keeps him passionate about his work. Known for his strong people skills, Pete values relationship building and partnerships as essential to long-term success in the industry.

A NACE Level 3 Senior Certified Coatings Inspector, Pete also holds an MBA. His career highlights include managing the largest service center in the country for the world’s largest elevated tank maintenance firm, serving as COO of the third fastest-growing mid-sized coatings firm in Georgia, and acting as project manager for the coatings portion of Delta’s largest jet engine testing facility in the world.

Outside of work, Pete enjoys collecting antique John Deere tractors, boating, and—until recently—competing in endurance events, including multiple 100-mile races, Ironman competitions, and marathons.
